A Quiet Run into Geneva

I got up at 5:30am. It was already light outside, and my tent was dry. I had a cold coffee, packed everything up, and by 7am I was on my way.

Another beautiful morning. Warm already from the start, around 20 degrees Celsius, with that soft summer feeling in the air. After yesterday’s extreme high, today felt more like a medium day—and exactly the right kind. Calm, steady, enjoyable.

I took breaks every now and then without rushing. I stopped to smell roses along the way—some of them smelled unbelievably wonderful—and again and again I paused to take in the incredible views over Lake Geneva with the mountains in the background. So much beauty all around.

Today I felt more grounded. More reflective. Thoughtful. It was one of those days where nothing spectacular happened. Just a beautiful warm day running step by step into Geneva.

There was nothing special about today—and at the same time it felt special in its own quiet way. Peaceful. Full. Just nice.

Tomorrow I’ll leave Switzerland and cross back into France.

Let’s go, Andrea
