A Beautiful Day in Motion

I slept incredibly well and woke up feeling like a new human being. What a difference eight hours of proper sleep make. I got ready and went downstairs for breakfast since it was included in the room. There I met Hazel, who works at the hotel. She is originally from Nicaragua and used to run as well. We talked for a little while, and it was such a lovely way to begin the day.

After breakfast I packed my things and got ready to leave. I could feel it already in the morning—today was going to be a wonderful day. And it truly was.

Let the pictures tell the story, and use your imagination for the rest. It was one of those days where everything just felt right. My body felt good, my mind felt clear, and I moved through the day with that wonderful feeling of ease. I was mostly in some kind of natural trance, simply moving forward, fully absorbed in the run, the landscape, the warmth, and the rhythm of the day.

The temperatures were perfect, around 30 degrees Celsius, and I loved every bit of it. The light, the road, the summer air—everything felt alive.

When I arrived at the campsite in Morges, which Kathrin had kindly reserved and paid for for me, I met Neil and Fiona from Nottingham. They were excited about my run and really enjoyed hearing about it. It’s always nice to receive such a positive response every now and then.

I already pitched my tent, so everything is ready for later—just to crawl in after dinner, a shower, and the end of another beautiful day.

Merci beaucoup for checking in.

Au revoir, Andrea
