Tomorrow Is the Day

Let the pictures tell the story.
There is just one thing I need to add: it was unbelievably hot!
Today was another one of those days that reminded me why I love this journey so much. Along the way, I met so many wonderful people, and even though some of our conversations were short, each one added something special to the day.
Thank you to Joseph, Harry, Rita, Michael, Emma, Nick, Jean-Jacques, and everyone else I had the pleasure of meeting today.
At the underground station in Epping, I met my family. Seeing them there made me so happy. We spent a little time together before I continued on my way toward London. There is something incredibly comforting about having your family close when you're standing at the doorstep of the finish line.
Later in the day, I had the unexpected joy of seeing Felix again. What a lovely surprise. We ended up covering my final six miles together, following the canal toward my destination. It felt like the perfect way to spend the last miles of my second-to-last day on the road.
Eventually, I arrived at the Stonebridge Lock Waterside Café.
I walked in, went behind the counter, and gave Steve a big hug.
There were quite a few guests inside, and everyone started applauding. That was really nice. Steve then handed me a beautiful bunch of flowers, and somehow everything just felt warm and happy, despite the incredible heat.
Steve also introduced me to Dan, who has kindly offered me a safe place to sleep tonight, either in my tent or under a roof in my sleeping bag.
Thank you, Dan.
My family and I then had a wonderful dinner together, and now here I am, feeling completely content.
Content with myself.
Content with my run.
Content with the incredible support from my family and from all of you who have followed and supported me throughout this journey. Thank you.
Tomorrow is the day.
One final day.
Let's enjoy it together and bring this great adventure to its finish.
Be well, Andrea
