Rest Day in Fukuoka

Today was a true rest day—simple, quiet, and just what I needed. I slept until my body naturally woke up, no alarm, no rush. I spent the first part of the day catching up on a few tasks, nothing exciting, just the usual things that keep this world run moving forward.
In the late afternoon, I walked down to the wharf where I’ll catch the ferry on Monday. The place was buzzing with energy. Groups of young people everywhere, wearing coordinated outfits, holding signs, bags full of merchandise. It didn’t take long to realise something big was happening. A quick search confirmed it: Treasure, a South Korean boy band, was performing.
Watching the excitement around me—the joy, the anticipation, the absolute frenzy of merch—was unexpectedly fun. It felt like its own little cultural moment, and I loved observing it from the sidelines.
Afterward, I picked up groceries for dinner and headed back for an early night. I feel relaxed, grounded, and ready for what’s next.
Thanks for following along.
See you tomorrow, Andrea
