A Day of Preparation and Reflection
Day 11 was less about running and more about preparing for the next chapter of this incredible journey. It began early, with me repacking and organizing my gear. There’s something oddly satisfying about sorting through everything—making sure my buggy is ready for transport, checking my essentials, and ensuring everything is in its right place. It’s a quiet reminder of the magnitude of what lies ahead.
Once everything was packed and secure, my temporary crew drove me to London Heathrow Airport in a rented car. The drive took a couple of hours, and while I’m grateful for the quiet moments on the road, my mind was racing with thoughts about the days to come. The airport itself was bustling with people—a chaotic yet exciting atmosphere that mirrored my emotions. I was tired but tried to use the waiting time to tackle some organizational tasks for the journey ahead.
As I sat there, surrounded by the hum of travelers, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. Overwhelmed? Yes. Scared? Definitely. But also incredibly excited. The reality of this journey—this massive, audacious dream—is setting in more and more each day. It’s daunting to think about what’s ahead, but it’s also a privilege to be here, to have the opportunity to chase something so meaningful.
Today, there were no miles run, no new roads explored on foot, but it was an important day nonetheless. These quieter moments—of preparation, reflection, and yes, even nerves—are just as much a part of the journey as the miles themselves. Every step, whether physical or mental, brings me closer to the next chapter.
To everyone following along, thank you for being part of this adventure. Your support means everything. Here’s to embracing the journey—the ups, the downs, and everything in between. Let’s keep dreaming big together.
